— Welcome to Airline Enterprise —

Airline Enterprise is a real time, web based airline management game that puts you in control of your own virtual airline. As CEO, you have a lot of decisions to make. Do you purchase aircraft, or lease them? Which cities do you want to serve, and what routes should you fly? All of these decisions will come together to create your own unique airline that competes in real time with other players from around the world.

We are currently in the public beta phase of testing. You may register an account and play the game, but just keep in mind you may run into bugs or issues along the way. The goal of public beta is to address as many of these issues as we can before officially launching the game.

Airline Enterprise is and always will be completely free to play. There are no hidden fees, advertisements or in-game purchases. Before you play, check out the Getting Started guide as well as the complete Game Guide. You may also want to browse or join our Forums for more information about the game, and to chat with fellow players and game developers.

Game News & Updates

February 18, 2018 - Operating Costs

Each aircraft you own or lease now has an Hourly Operating Cost. This has replaced weekly maintenance and insurance costs. Fuel cost and lease cost are not included in the operating cost.

Operating cost depends on two factors - Aircraft type and number of cycles. Larger and more heavily used aircraft have a higher operating cost.

Operating cost is deducted from each flight, just like fuel cost, and it is shown on the flight tracker page as well as the flight history page. You can see your aircraft's operating cost on the aircraft details page, by going to your fleet overview and then clicking on the aircraft registration number.

For more information and discussion, see this thread in our forums.

January 16, 2018 - Server Maintenance

Server maintenance will be performed tomorrow, January 17 at 8am GMT to address the Meltdown CPU vulnerability. A two hour window has been set aside for the maintenance. Expect the game and forums to be unavailable during that time.

January 11, 2018 - Server Move

We will be moving the game and forums over to the new server tomorrow, January 11. Expect the game to be inaccessible for most of the day. You can join our Discord chat if you want to be kept up to date on the progress: https://discordapp.com/invite/vgRJcdK

January 6, 2018 - New Routes System

UPDATE 1/6: We are still experiencing some issues with the routes system. Routes will get scheduled multiple times, only partially or not at all. We are working on fixing these issues, so your patience is requested.

The long-awaited revamped routes system has finally been implemented. We have done our best to test the system and ensure that the roll-out is as smooth as possible, but there is always the chance that we missed something. If you encounter any issues with the new system, please let us know via our forums. We will also make a detailed post in the updates section detailing the new system and how it works.

December 13, 2017 - Used Aircraft Leasing

Airlines are now able to lease aircraft from the used aircraft market. For now, this only works with aircraft generated by the system. Players cannot lease aircraft to another player at this time. Additionally, all used aircraft are leased for 1 year by default. Eventually you will be able to select lease terms when leasing used aircraft, but that functionality does not exist yet.

Used aircraft leases are delivered instantly, and there is no initial downpayment.

November 2, 2017 - Bag Fees are Implemented

Bag fees have now been implemented into routes. To set bag fees for your airline, go to Manage Airline --> Routes --> Set Ticket Prices. If you decide to charge bag fees, the more you charge, the less likely passengers will be to bring a bag on board. So at a certain point the revenue you gain from baggage fees will peak and a further increase in fees will not result in more revenue. Bag fees do not affect reputation gain whatsoever, only demand and revenue. Bag fees are worked into the pricing function of the demand formula, meaning a bag fee has the same effect on demand as raising your ticket price. A $150 ticket with a $25 checked bag fee is the same as another airline having a $175 ticket and no bag fees.

For more information or if you have any questions/comments, see this thread on our forums.

October 13, 2017 - Loans

Loans are now available as an option for additional funding. The number of loans as well as your credit limit is affected by your airline's credit rating. You cannot exceed either of those limits. To request a loan, go to Manage Airline --> Financial --> Loan Management.

If you have any questions or comments feel free to ask on our forums.

October 6, 2017 - Demand Formula Has Been Updated

An adjustment has been made to the demand formula, affecting all routes. Overall demand has increased by roughly 40%, and the sensitivity of the competition factor has been lowered. This means on routes with lots of competition, the drop-off of demand due to high competition will be less.

You should notice passenger loads begin to increase effective immediately. If you have any questions or comments, you can post them on this thread on our forums.

September 27, 2017 - Game Reset & Auto Routes

As you can probably tell, the game has been reset. This was to facilitate a new update to the game regarding how routes are handled in the back-end. All routes will now be flown automatically, rather than forcing the player to click the "Fly Route" button each time after completion. Once you activate a route, it will fly itself until you deactivate it. For more information, check the game guide. As always if you have any questions or notice any issues, let us know on our forums.

A minor update was also made to the used aircraft market. This was to facilitate an upcoming update that will allow players to lease used aircraft. Instead of purchasing used aircraft straight off of the used market page, you are now taken to an aircraft details page where you can view the details of each aircraft before you decide to purchase it. Eventually, you will be able to choose whether you want to purchase outright or lease the aircraft. The lease button is there, but it will be disabled until that feature is added.

Also, one more thing to address. I attempted to implement a rule where your first 5 new aircraft purchases are instantly delivered, but it ended up being a bit more complicated than I initially thought. There was no way for me to implement that change in time for this game reset. I will continue working on this change, and hopefully have it implemented some time later this week.

July 31, 2017 - Aircraft Leasing

Aircraft Leasing has now been implemented. It works very similarly to purchasing new aircraft. To lease aircraft, go to Manage Airline -> Fleet -> Lease Aircraft. Configure your aircraft, make sure you have enough money to cover the initial down payment, and then confirm the lease. The aircraft will be built and delivered to your airline as you configured it.

The number of active leases you can have depends on your airline's credit rating. The better your credit rating, the more leases you can have at any given time. Leases are paid weekly, to help with cash flow and to coordinate with the rest of the in-game payments. Lease payments are made every Friday at noon GMT.

We've tested it and have not found any significant issues, but do let us know if you run into any problems.
